Thank you for considering this CFDI Program, developed by Associates in Forensic Investigations and in partnership exclusively with the Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council (CDITC) and specifically for Criminal Defense Investigators. First, this about more than attaching CFDI to your signature line and CV. We also offer support and networking. We want YOU to succeed! As long as you maintain your CFDI credential, you will have the following:
The CFDI will enhance any Criminal Defense Investigator skills, and all CDITC and other preeminent certifications and experiences to bring your Criminal Defense Investigations to a new level of advanced knowledge and skills for the most demanding Criminal Defense Investigations areas – involving Death and Serious Bodily Injury (SBI) incidents. You will also have unique access to collegial networking and continuing education.
The CFDI is intended to challenge, educate, and elevate you. There are three basic requirements: 1) Qualifications; 2) Complete and pass the basic Pre-Requisite Courses; and 3) Completing and passing this advanced-level Program. Once attained, there is an annual CE requirement. To get started, you must meet Minimum Qualifications as an active Criminal Defense Investigator, and have minimum specific and general experience.
After you have met the minimum requirements, and qualify to begin the CFDI process, you must have completed and passed the basic pre-requisite Equivocal Death / SBI Investigations for PIs Certificate Course at www.MedicolegalDeathInvestigations.com.
You are then ready to continue to the Certified Forensic Death Investigator Program, and must complete and pass the full course, complete and pass the written exam, and complete a written sample report from a case study and image(s) provided. You will have several hours of study, course work and experience preparing you for your role as a CFDI to your criminal defense clients.
There is no substitute for education, training and experience - and continuing education to maintain your CFDI.
* Once the CFDI has testified three times as an expert, the credential is upgraded to CFDI-Expert. Testimonial proof is required.
- Our agency is exclusively available to you to offer guidance on your case. We will offer support guidance at no charge. If you or your client requires our expert consultation, we will discuss details at that time - and offer YOU a discount or referral fee more generous than the standard.
- As a new Program, we need CFDIs to support and network with each other. This includes a CFDI only listserv, listing on this website as a CFDI or CFDI-Expert with full contact information.
- You will have the option to use, at no charge, a subdomain redirected to your site and the email @CertifiedForensicDeathInvestigator.com (not a standalone hosted domain or email service, but a forwarding service to your primary site and email).
- All CFDIs receive an additional discount on all proprietary courses for their Continuing Education requirements.
